Racing heads to Warwick Farm Racecourse on Wednesday afternoon for a competitive seven-race program. The Sydney region has found plenty of rain as of late, resulting in a currently listed Soft 6 track, however, with some beautiful drying days leading into race-day we’re inclined to think there’s a strong possibility of an upgrade to a Good 4 provided the forecast is correct.
The rail has moved out +5m from the 1000m marker to winning post with the remainder of the rail out +3m, so look for so minor on-speed horses to get some advantage throughout the card, which is scheduled to get underway from 2:20pm AEDT.
Best Bet at Warwick Farm: Miss Lenorr
The second leg of the quaddie is where you’ll find our best bet of the afternoon, as Miss Lenorr will be looking to continue her rise in the ratings this preparation. Her last start effort in behind Above And Beyond on Boxing Day was sensational when near last turning for home, Miss Lenorr found nothing but trouble turning for home before squeezing between runners in the straight to only be beaten 0.2 lengths. To say she should’ve won is an understatement, as with clear air she clearly would’ve hit the frame in front. Now back to 1400m in what looks a manageable task for this improving four-year-old mare by Maurice, Miss Lenorr looks ready to win again in this BM72 mares contest. Dylan Gibbons takes the reins here and from barrier five, along with his 2kg claim, he and Miss Lenorr look very hard to beat on Wednesday afternoon.

Next Best Bet: Recommendation
The final race of the afternoon sees the return of an intriguing three-year-old for the Ciaron Maher & David Eustace camp by the name of Recommendation. He’s first-up after a 23-week spell and before being tipped out at the end of last preparation looked to be improving throughout his two-year-old campaign, culminating in a 1.3 length defeat at Eagle Farm on July 30 behind Billionair Baby. Prior to that he was undefeated in two starts in NSW and found the class a little too much to manage. Now after two eye-catching barrier trials, both at this track, Recommendation looks set to be very competitive first-up in this BM72 affair. From the soft draw, expect Tommy Berry to take all luck out of the equation and lead them up before kicking clear of his rivals turning for home. He looks progressive and should hopefully prove too good.
