It’s a full field of 16 set to line up in Saturday’s Group 2 Tramway Stakes at Randwick, with master trainer Chris Waller likely to have six runners in the $300,000 feature.
Olentia is dual-accepted for Wyong on Friday but is still a $2.20 favourite with online bookmakers, leaving the James Cummings-trained Pericles ($4) as the clear danger.
Waller’s other runners include a deluge of gallopers making their way here first-up, with Madame Pommery ($13) looking the most likely chance after an impressive return where she was beaten a nostril by Pericles on August 12.
The chances in this field are many, with resuming gallopers Hope In Your Heart ($10) and Fireburn ($23) both looking to pick up where they left off.
My Oberon ($23) makes his return from a trip to Hong Kong for Annabel Neasham, and Zeyrek ($17) offers terrific each-way value after putting the writing on the wall last campaign.
Other key chances have already kicked off their respective campaigns; Communist ($13) is looking to bounce back from the Group 1 Winx Stakes, and Sky Lab ($17) closed off strongly behind Buenos Noches in the Group 3 Show County Quality on August 19.
The Tramway Stakes will be the penultimate race on the Randwick program and is set to be run at 4:35pm AEST.
