The Watchdog crunches TAB’s ‘All In’ Ballarat Cup market

TAB has opened up an ‘All In’ market on the Group 2 BFC Ballarat Cup (450m) ahead of Saturday night’s heats, with The Watchdog believing there is plenty of value in the market.

The expert form analyst stressed it was important to note that with six heats, greyhounds wouldn’t necessarily have to win their way into the final, as the two fastest second placegetters will also qualify.

Another key point mentioned by The Watchdog was that a number of greyhounds were at huge odds to run a place in the final.

“If you play around Bound To Succeed and Dr. Tucker as your real strong fancies, and have something each way on Dream Wizard, Spring Hummer, Benchester, Fortuna Bale, Swift Current and Junk Food Junkie, come final time you could have a few runners going at massive odds,” The Watchdog said.

“Junk Food Junkie is paying $151 and $41 the place, and if she happens to make the final and draws an inside box she’ll go around at about $6 or $7.”

“Junk Food Junkie is paying $151 and $41 the place, and if she happens to make the final and draws an inside box she’ll go around at about $6 or $7 because she’s a class animal and has been racing well in town.”

“When they’re winning at those sort of odds you don’t have to have a lot on them to get something out of the race.”

Short Pork, a reserve in the TAB Melbourne Cup, is a clear favourite in ‘All In’ betting at $4, followed by Aussie Secret, Do It and recent Ballarat 450m track record breaker Pirate Pete, all at $8.

The first of six heats kicks off at 6.58pm on Saturday night, with the $67,000 final to be run on Saturday 12 December.
