The $350,000 Group 2 Queensland Guineas runs on Saturday at Eagle Farm over 1600m and has attracted a field of quality contenders once again.
Last year it was the James Cummings trained Character taking out the win from barrier one with James Orman on board.
This year Orman pilots The Vowels, trained by Toby & Trent Edmonds, in an attempt to go back to back in the feature.
However, this year he will need to ride from barrier 16 in the only downside of the ride as trainer Toby Edmonds said.

“His prep has been fine,” he said.
“The barrier is a disaster so we are going to need a lot of luck from there and it is over to Jimmy Orman now.”
The gelded son of Better Than Ready now looks to make it six on the run and looked great racing wide in the Listed Daybreak Lover.
He comes up against some strong competition in this Eagle Farm contest that includes Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes winner in the John Sargent-trained Perfect Thought and the Chris Waller-trained Kovalica.
Kovalica, with Nash Rawiller onboard, is the favourite in betting at $2.25 with online bookmakers having won the Group Three Ascot Green Grand Prix Stakes at the track.
The Ocean Park x Vitesse progeny beat home Noah ‘N’ A Deel (2nd) and Tapildoodledoo on that occasion and will face the pair again here.
Tapildoodledoo is not without interest having won the Group 2 Tulloch Stakes at large odds, when he finished off hard, and backed up with a start in the Group One ATC Derby last start without showing anything, finishing 12th.
