The Stir Up – Shootout Edition

GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts  Fellas, Saturday night is set to be a Shootout for the ages. The four greyhounds in the Group 3 event have won over $4.1 million in prizemoney. Staggering!

Gerard  She’s A Pearl creates plenty of interest after breaking the all-time prizemoney record last start. How will she fare in her first race outside of New South Wales?

Trent  Wow She’s Fast has been unlucky in her past two runs, so it would be foolish to dismiss her too quickly. Can she bounce back at her favourite track?

Quilts  Gavin Clifton, David McKenzie and connections are still basking in Group 1 glory. Can Photo Man repeat his heroics from the Topgun?

Gerard  The most recent Million Dollar Chase winner McInerney was a brave runner-up in the Topgun. If he is within striking distance turning for home, watch out!

Trent  The anticipation for the Shootout is already at fever pitch, but what about the number of stars in the final round of preludes for the Group 1 Sportsbet Melbourne Cup. Wow!

Quilts  It’s great to see Zipping Kyrgios, Amron Boy and French Martini backing up from their runs in the Sportsbet Topgun.

Gerard  French Martini finds herself up against a top field. Kelsey Bale was breathtaking in the Group 3 Silver Bullet, while Hector Fawley and Revolution are highly promising.

Quilts  Keith ‘Ned’ Snow also has Pocket Money – runner-up in the Group 1 Hume Cup Final – and the highly-touted Shipwreck going around after they impressed at The Meadows.

Trent  Quick Smart v Deadly Class v Jarick Bale, Panadero Warrior v Dookie Devil v Dynamic Prince v Jungle Panther, Titan Blazer v Paua Of Buddy v Zipping Orlando, Paddy Wants Pats v Amplified v Dundee Smokey. Bring on Saturday night!
