The Stir Up featuring Kysaiah, Quinlan Bale and Jarick Bale

GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts  The track was rain affected at Sandown Park last night, but that didn’t stop the sizzling performances in the second round of preludes for the Group 1 Sportsbet Melbourne Cup.

Gerard  Kysaiah – the speed demon – is back to the form he was in when he contested the Group 2 Geelong Gold Cup Final in April. His early pace gives him a chance in any race.

Trent  Zippy Tesla produced another exciting come-from-behind victory. If he’s within striking distance approaching the home turn in the Group 1 Sportsbet Topgun, watch out!

Quilts  Speaking of greyhounds to watch out for, Trent, this year’s country cups king Typhoon Sammy is going for his 40th career victory at Geelong this afternoon.

Gerard  It’s a big weekend at Geelong Greyhounds, Quilts. Tomorrow night’s Geelong Oaks Final features Ava Blazer, Kanji Victory, Mirabella Bale and Piscopo Bale.

Trent  Despite the scratching of Salad Dodger, the Geelong Derby Final has plenty of class with Dusty Bourbski and Quinlan Bale plus Dundee Smokey; the fastest heat winner.

Gerard  We then have six amazing heats of the Group 1 Hume Cup at The Meadows on Monday night featuring Aston Ulysses, Buzz Junkie and the exciting Zoha Bale.

Quilts  Pink Diamond winner Aston Velvet, dual Group 1 winner Jarick Bale and last year’s Hume Cup runner-up Mepunga Warrior in the same heat … that’s a race.

Trent  Don’t forget about the Group 3 RSN Silver Bullet. Titan Blazer, Fernando Mick, Kelsey Bale and Paddy Wants Pats are all Group 1 placed at The Meadows.

Quilts  The Phoenix runner Plaintiff and the exciting Shipwreck run in separate races, plus the box draws for the Group 1 Topguns are being staged. What a Monday night it will be!
