Race 1

6 Stravos The Terror: Form looks good, especially considering a heap of it is Canterbury form. Should be able to dominate this field today.

3 Pick Six Telf: Much more like it last time with a fighting third. Should pick a win up at some point in the next month without too much trouble.

1 Hold Thumbs: Into a strike-rate barn although not much to write home about so far. Can make a play for this from the inside draw though.

5 Racing Minister: Two good thirds before a tough run last time. Winston’s made his play this week, can his namesake do it too?

Selections: 6-3-1-5

Race 2

9 Cracker Hill: Exciting type back after nearly causing the upset on Jewels Day. Trainer will have him primed and ready to rock and roll here.

12 Crusher Collins: She’s right on top of her game at the moment and won’t need to go much better to be a major player here again.

11 Jaccka Jeorge: Has the motor but not quite yet the ringcraft. Mobile conditions should suit and with manners is a bit of a chance in this.

4 Boyz Invasion: New to the Michael House stable but has always been more than capable. Should land near the speed and be a player today.

Selections: 9-12-11-4

Race 3

3 Lite Percussion: Handy barrier draw and an easing in grade today should enhance the chances considerably. Hard to beat with own terms.

2 Hot Starff: Much better last week and does go well in the short course racing. Nice trip and a cold shot at them and look out.

10 Bunter’s Dream: Should take plenty of improvement out of the first up run last time out. Best is good enough to win this but hard from draw.

6 Tartan Robyn: On speed runner who might look to turn this into a staying contest. Leaves him vulnerable late, but good enough to keep them up to the task.

Selections: 3-2-10-6

Race 4

1 Koromiko Eyre: Hasn’t yelped much since arriving in the South but finally a decent draw against an even field. On speed, he’s a big chance today if things pan out well.

4 Myrcella: Showed up and delivered in fine style with a good third fresh up. Is talented enough to be a player in a race like this without doubt.

7 Jimmy Richter: Consistent efforts in good fields since coming back from the spell. Wide draw here but is more than capable and should be coming at them late.

6 It Ain’t The Money: Bit of word around for this one. Goes near enough and workout and trial form ahead of this has been solid enough too. Not one you want to leave out.

Selections: 1-4-7-6

Race 5

1 Freddiesam: Down to the south from the All Stars and into the Barclay/Ellis barn. Good draw and solid form makes him awfully hard to beat today.

4 Longueval: First starter from an astute stable. Looks like a horse who won’t take long to pick up a maiden success. Can give it a good shake here.

3 Moonlite Drive: Well bred debutant down from Canterbury. Plenty of nice workout and trial form to ready for this and can give some cheek.
9 Tasman Tempest: Run on Cup Day was excellent. Made up a stack of ground. Not one you really want to be leaving out of the mix here.

Selections: 1-4-3-9

Race 6

8 Major Sass: A lot more in her favour than plenty of others in this race aside from the trick inside of the second row draw. Clear air and she’ll be too good for them you’d imagine.

6 Countess Of Arden: Maps to get to the markers and that was here happy place for a while. Could run them off their feet if in the right kind of mood.

9 Betterthanbrie: Form looks excellent when you consider what she’s been up against recently. Can track through and then look to work her way over the top of them.

10 Dachy: Resumed in fine style with an excellent win last time out. Better for that and can get going late and really rush at them when in the right mood.

Selections: 8-6-9-10

Race 7

4 Kickupyaheels: Looked a little short last time out after doing a bit of work. Will be better for that run and gets in here nicely. The one they all have to beat.

6 Terror The Christian: More upside than most in this field and hasn’t had the greatest of luck recently. Looks better suited here and should make a bid for success.

9 Maurice: Capable type now in the Saunders barn. Showed a bit of ability in runs up in Canterbury. Might have other goals but certainly a contender here.

12 Slate: Talented pacer back from a spell after showing some good form last season. Workout and trial form is excellent so even from the draw a big run is expected.

Selections: 4-6-9-12

Race 8

3 Might Be Me: Had them in trouble before scrambling in the gear short of the post last time. That form has been franked too. Manners the key but hard to beat if they are there.

4 Watch Me Now: Excellent run on debut from a horror draw. Stable is firing up nicely and from the good draw here should be handy to them and right in the fight.

8 Princess Jessie: Last run was against the good ones in a Sires’ Stakes heat. Wasn’t bad either. This is a lot easier. Just needs some room from the second line.

6 Rakarippa: Unlucky on debut and then it all went to sea again next up. Due a bit of luck and capable of measuring up to anything in this line up.

Selections: 3-4-8-6

Race 9

5 Rydegmont Son: Fitness on the side is key here. There might be a couple a little better than him in this, but he’s race hard and ready to go. Should take some catching.

4 Super Fast Pat: Has a huge motor and been given a bit of time to develop further. That bodes well for this season. Should give it a decent shake here.

7 Full Noise: Exciting trotter back in action but cops the worst possible draw for this. Should still be right in the middle of the action though. A good chance.

9 Theodosia: Not much went right on Cup Week but mobile conditions suit. Can be the little sneaky one that creeps up on them late here and offers up a fright.

Selections: 5-4-7-9

Race 10

6 Pembrook Playboy: Excellent form for a race like this and from the front line draw they may choose to leave nothing to chance. Has to be considered the one to beat.

8 Stun Gun: Often own worst enemy but can run a fair bit and does like this past of the world. No surprise to see a big effort here with a little bit of luck from the second row.

9 Please Shuddup: Knocking around nicely in workouts since fresh up effort. Will improve sharply for this and with a quiet run, can get over the top of them late.

4 I’mallaboutthebase: Excellent second three starts back might be a good form line for this assignment. Just needs to find the back of one and get that little bit of luck.

Selections: 6-8-9-4

BEST: 4 Kickupyaheels (Race 7)

NEXT: 6 Pemrbook Playboy (Race 10)

VALUE: 1 Koromiko Eyre (Race 4)
