Race 1

9 Bev K’s One: Held in high regard and not bad at Omakau in a race where form has been well franked since. Should be improved and can win good manners.

7 Steel Dust: Really hit the straps late to go close last time out. Getting better and more tractable, dangerous here with the last shot at them.

13 Lane’s Ace: Doing things right and hitting the line well. Sure to give a good account once again even from the unruly marble.

3 Superfast Lad: Get out and trot sort of horse who should land on the speed with the usual good manners and give followers a good sight once again.

Selections: 9-7-13-3

Race 2

2 Kiss The Girls: Big run last time out to finish third after a bit of bad luck early. Going to pick one up at short notice and a good chance here today.

3 Duke: Knocking on the door and keeps producing good efforts but maiden win proving hard to come by. Gets a good chance here today though.

1 Strong Enough: Strips fitter for the first up run here last time and comes up with a good draw which should see him on the speed and right there.

9 Violet Knight: Impressive qualifier who copped plenty of bad luck on debut. Is good enough to round a field like this up, but might be a better place prospect.

Selections: 2-3-1-9

Race 3

2 Lisa Marie P: In really good nick and should land on the speed here and look to keep them pretty honest. Hard to catch if she’s allowed her own terms.

7 Another Chapter: Loves the short course mobile racing and will relish this opportunity. Best version might be too good for them, although that’s often sporadic.

6 Some Time: Had run some really good races at times, often when falling into races like this. Can have a big say late in the piece here with half a chance.

10 Kiwi Crusher: Now with Amber Hoffman on the beach. Talented enough and will appreciate the mobile conditions of today’s assignment. Live chance.

Selections: 2-7-6-10

Race 4

18 Missmollygoodgolly: Took a smart one to run her down last week here. Tricky draw, but good enough to loop them at some point and make a big play for this.

7 Khaki Nui: Progressive wee pacer who should be able to get onto the speed from the good draw here and with half a chance will be right there hunting for the prize.

11 Unico Gem: Smart stepper who gets onto the front line here and can ping across them early and get to the markers. That’s the key. Ashburton run two back a good pointer.

16 Miss Impression: Talented wee pacer back from a spell. Nice trial win at Ashburton to ready for this and shouldn’t be too far away from the action.

Selections: 18-7-11-16

Race 5

2 Styx Kiwi: Debutant from an in-form stable with some good workout and trial form under the belt. On the speed and with a cold shot at them, hard to beat.

7 Oliver North: Plenty to like about the two runs back from a spell and kept coming last time out to just go down. Won’t die wondering so has to be considered.

5 I’ll Write The Story: Smart wee pacer who should appreciate a bit of a drop in company for today’s assignment. Can certainly have a role to play with any luck.

4 Narcissist: Lined up as a 2YO last season and didn’t do a bad job. Nice trial effort recently so heading in the right direction. Has to be included here.

Selections: 2-7-5-4

Race 6

9 Pressed For Time: Only going to be better for the fresh up performance where she was too good for them. 30m handicap here, but she’s good enough to overcome that.

6 Spot On: Drops into a nice kind of race and with a quick beginning and a chance to land on the speed there’s every chance of a form turn around here today.

3 Shadow Minister: In good nick and running strong races. Likely to land on the speed here and from there should play a role once again.

7 Pay Me Visa: Hinted at a potential return to form with a handy fifth last time out. Generally holds his form and best is good enough to be competitive in this line up.

Selections: 9-6-3-7

Race 7

7 Burlington: Best horse in this field, but he’s a funny bugger sometimes. If he’s in the right mood, he’ll deal to them – but it’s a case of catching him in the right mood.

6 Standout: Offering some nice each way value for a horse in really good form. Will be better for Roxburgh second and leading junior in the bike is a big plus too.

13 Kensington Bill: Nice effort up in grade at Omakau last time out. Tricky draw but perhaps better swooping on them anyway. Can win it.

11 Miss Mucho: Plenty ahead judging by impressive Omakau victory from a horror draw. Things might pan out a little better here and can win again with any luck.

Selections: 7-6-13-11

Race 8

3 Ultimate Rocker: A bit to like about the fresh up effort here last week. Lands a good draw and should find a spot on the markers. Hard to beat with the last say.

5 Atomic Blast: Full potential on show with big win last time out. Can go on with it and likely to head forward so has to be in the mix.

7 Mad Lu Li: In good form and arguably against stronger fields than this too. Won’t mind a bit of rough and tumble and can swoop on them with a good sit.

8 Christian Who: Likes to roll forward in her races, especially from behind the mobile. Might look to get across and get handy here and can be dangerous.

Selections: 3-5-7-8

Race 9

7 Clyde: Running really strong races at the moment and should be able to get onto the speed from the 10m handicap and offer up a nice each way chance with any luck.

10 Miss Moppet: She can be a bit funny, but in the right mood she’ll get onto the speed here and give a really strong sight. Best version would just about win.

14 Doff Your Cap: Driven an absolute beaut to get the chocolates last time out. A good confidence building experience and should be going close again here today.

4 Jerry Garcia: Keeps slipping back in the ratings and off the front here, he could be dangerous if able to land on the speed and look to trot them along a bit.

Selections: 7-10-14-4

Race 10

3 Copperfield: Stable change for a young pacer good enough to take on some of the best of his age group. Small field, nice workout run and should be primed and ready.

9 Luella: Strips fitter for the fresh up effort for third at Winton. Wide draw here doesn’t help, but her class will take her a very long way in this line up.

2 Pembrook Legacy: Good effort late to make up some really good ground from well back in a fresh state. Better for it. Lands handier here too.

10 Darryl Kerrigan: In genuine form and was pretty good last time out. Might need a bit of luck, but certainly good enough to stand up and make a play for this.

Selections: 3-9-2-10

Race 11

7 Szybka Lane: Good run last time in a field similar to this. There’s not a lot of depth here so expect another positive performance in today’s line up.

4 Scotlyn Harry: Goes well on this course and two good workout efforts to ready for this. Even line up, so has to be considered a leading contender.

3 Pat Campbell: Form lines ready not too bad for a race like this. Should punch forward and with a good run in transit be one of the leading combatants.

1 Chaat: Looked a little unlucky in a similar field last week and actually made up a lot of ground. Handy draw and if able to hand up and get one shot at them might not be the worst.

Selections: 7-4-3-1

BEST: 3 Copperfield (Race 10)

NEXT: 7 Burlington (Race 7)
