Race 1
7 Sundons Flyer: Not bad on Tuesday but gains the advantage of Orange getting in the bike today which makes him even more of a chance of going a couple better.
4 Takenoprisoners: Too good for them here two days ago and a repeat of that performance today is sure to take him close once again.
6 Stylish Duke: Brave effort on the first day to finish fourth, will be better for that run and can play a role here with a quick getaway.
3 The Rev: Won for fun last time out at Forbury and now in the Scott Dickson camp. Manners will be the key but can be competitive.
Selections: 7-4-6-3
Race 2
3 Ace Strike: Good run off a tricky draw on Tuesday to go very close. Better suited here and must be rewarded with a maiden victory soon enough.
2 Ohoka Bandit: Wasn’t too far away on Tuesday and gets another good draw to work from here so must be right in the mix today.
9 Machteer: The money came on Tuesday but things went a miss in the score up. Where there’s smoke there is usually fire, so don’t dismiss here.
8 Absolut Russian: Handy run for third on the first day but a little hamstrung here by the inside of the second row draw. Looking for a bit of luck.
Selections: 3-2-9-8
Race 3
5 Jessie Kelly: Held up a critical time on Day One but charged to the line when clear. Strong push from the stable and Orange sticks with. Can, and should, win.
6 Lavazza: Up from Canterbury and into the Scott Dickson barn. A recipe that’s worked many times before. Always looked above average. Expecting a big run.
1 Yankee Dancer: Expecting a bit of turn around here today after getting the coveted ace draw. On the speed and has to be an each way chance.
2 Shan One: Not far away in a fresh state on Tuesday and only going to be better for having had the run. Good enough to be competitive in this line up.
Selections: 5-6-1-2
Race 4
8 Artfilly Crafted: Might need a bit of Orange magic from the draw but there were enough encouraging signs in Tuesday’s effort to consider her a winning hope.
5 Vanhalem: Too big and too strong on the first day when winning impressively. This field is no harder so expecting a positive result again.
4 Benjamin Button: Popular victory on the first day and likely to roll forward and get into the middle of this assignment here. Can win again too.
2 Molly Dooker: Gallop early put an end to any hopes on the first day. Better than that and gets a nice draw to work from today so has to be a chance.
Selections: 8-5-4-2
Race 5
5 Voodoo Prince: Good run on Tuesday to finish second and will strip a whole heap fitter here. Looks the horse they all have to beat here today.
7 Westar Sam: Has faced stronger fields than this and didn’t get all favours on Tuesday. Might need some luck but will be booming home late here.
3 Payment Plan: Way too good on the first day after getting back. Swooped them and won with ease. This is harder but can certainly measure up again.
9 Milner: Brave effort when fresh to finish third on the first day. Better for it and although off the second line he looks a good chance again here.
Selections: 5-7-3-9
Race 6
3 Jingles Bromac: Copped a bad check on Tuesday when looking to get into it. Better draw here and likely to roll forward and look to dominate them.
1 Ideal Tiger: Lovely effort fresh up to finish second on Tuesday and drawn well here. Should get a nice trip just off the speed and can play a role from there.
7 Mucho Macho Man: Orange produced a gem to get him home on Tuesday. Barrier draw here makes it a little tougher to repeat but still can’t be discounted.
4 The Kapiti Express: Bad manners on show on Tuesday but that can happen. Best version is more than competitive in a race like this.
Selections: 3-1-7-4
Race 7
1 Tempo Rose: Another handy effort on Tuesday to finish second and gets the big bonus of the ace draw today. Should be awfully hard to beat.
8 Chromozone: Big effort to run second on the first day. This barrier draw should work out perfectly. Has to be a strong hope of going one better.
6 Dens Legacy: Orange will be a bit smarter to the task after the day one steer on this one. Goes OK when things pan out well and could be the bolter here.
2 Red Terror: Best version would just about win this but we haven’t seen it for a while. Chance to perhaps turn that around here today and get back on track.
Selections: 1-8-6-2
BEST: 5 Jessie Kelly (Race 3)
NEXT: 3 Jingles Bromac (Race 6)
VALUE: 8 Artfilly Crafted (Race 4)
