Race 1
2 Credit Master: Jump and run type who left tongues wagging last time. Look out if he finds the front over the short course.
1 Kennys Dream: Classy wee trotter back in action for the season. Perfect draw as should be following the leader. Class will take her a long way.
5 CK Spur: No luck off a big mark last time out but better suited here and prior form was excellent. Should produce another big effort.
4 Sertorius: Drove really hard late last time out to finish second. Small field and short course race suit. Can cause a minor upset.

Race 2
4 Mhai Tickled Pink: Two runs back from a spell have both been very good and at peak fitness now. Good draw and should be right in the middle of it all.
11 Flying Finn: We’ll forgive the last start effort, had to do plenty and it told late. Swooping kind of race here and can get over the top of them all.
3 Vespa: In good nick and comes up with a positive marble today. Should end up in a handy position and certainly good enough to get a big slice of the pie.
7 Miracle Moose: Backed up a couple of good runs with a good win last time. Headed in the right direction and more than capable of winning again.

Race 3
11 Mr Good And Evil: Talented, but very risky. Best form would rock up and deal to this field and to be fair, no surprise to see him do it.
12 Resonate: Mobile conditions, despite the draw, should suit. Can really let down when given the chance and might run past them all here.
6 Invictus: Devoid of any luck when last produced in a race like this. Cross everything sort of stuff but certainly good enough to go close if in the right mood.
3 Natty Pagger: Third up tonight and should be ready to step up and show something. Good draw and won’t leave much to chance. Eachway.

Race 4
3 Magilligan Point: Rough and tumble type who races best when on the speed. Should get near to there at least today and deserves a winning turn.
1 Megastar: Genuine performer who has chased some smart ones recently. Good draw here and might end up with the right kind of trip. Good chance.
2 Major Jellis: Stepped up on debut and delivered an impressive effort. This is tougher, but huge respect for the stable wherever they go.
4 Johnny Mac: Has always been more than capable but has had problems. Nice workout win recently and no surprise to see him run a big race here fresh.

Race 5
6 Christianshavtime: All anyone wants to tip this week off the back of some strong recent efforts. Even looking field so has to be considered a big chance.
1 Tommy Tukaa: Looks above average judging by the workout and trial efforts. Nice draw for a debut run over the sprint trip. Can be in the middle of it all.
10 New York Minute: Plenty of support on debut and a good effort for fourth. Can sit back and launch at them here and get right into the action with any luck.
4 Bettor Listen: First up after some nice workout and trial form. Has to be respect on debut especially considering the trainer and driver combination.

Race 6
2 Line Up: Strong effort to run second in the last North Island heat of the series. Nice draw to work with here. That makes him the horse to beat.
9 Bad To The Bone: Will only be better for the fresh up effort. Nice horse who should keep getting better. Won’t leave anything to chance here.
8 Copy That: In great form and low-flying at the moment. Tricky draw, but as a heat winner already he needs to be respected.
5 Mighty Looee: Trimmed up for this with a workout win last weekend. Best form is excellent and no surprise to see a big effort here with any luck.

Race 7
6 Wainui Creek: Got too far back fresh up but did find the line nice. Better suited here and if she’s handy enough turning for home, they won’t catch her.
11 Go Kiwi: Under rated wee pacer who should put in a big effort here. Can follow the speed and get home nicely and you’d imagine that will be the plan.
10 Sole Ambition: Hasn’t put a foot wrong in the career to date but might need a little bit of luck from the tricky draw. Right man in the bike to negate that.
8 Matai Geordie: Flew home last time out to finish second. Horrid draw but swooping style makes it not quite as bad. Look for him late.

Race 8
10 Mach Shard: Two big run to open the campaign and looking to really blow the cobwebs out before heading South. Should win tonight.
5 The Devils Own: In great nick in strong fields at the moment and gets another big chance to get a win on the board tonight. Will give a big sight.
9 Step Up: Nice wee pacer back from a spell. Did a huge job last season and expected to show a bit of stick this season too. Chance in a fres state.
2 Double Rocket: Fresh up tonight after taking on some smart fields last season. Should be stronger and can give this a shake.

Race 9
4 The Blue Beat: Nice runs since returning from a spell. Deserves a winning turn and won’t get many better opportunities than tonight to make it happen.
9 Cowgirls N Angels: Only ever going to be better for the fresh up run last time which was nice. Needs a little luck from the draw but could win it.
8 Shillelagh: Gets a bit of a grading relief for this and can make the most of it, even from the wide draw. Good enough to win without doubt.
5 Pembrook Charlie: In great form at the moment and meets a very even field tonight. Has to be considered a big each way chance on recent efforts.

Race 10
8 Silver Power: Smart workout wins to ready for this. Needs to get away cleanly, but clear good enough to win if things do go right.
6 Safrakova: Others can’t afford to miss a beat with this one in the field. Will jump and run and give them all something to chase. Hard to catch too.
5 Noble Mistress: In good form on the Mainland before trekking up here. Jump and run type too so interested to see how it plays out.
3 Torbuk: Drop in grade from last week’s assignment. Has the motor to deal to this field, but manners are the big worry.
