THE MEADOWS PREVIEW: Burning questions

Everyone loves a winning streak, and two greyhounds in remarkable form have the spotlight squarely on them at The Meadows tonight.

Young gun from the Camilleri camp, Zipping Sullivan, is unbeaten after seven starts, while at the other end of the spectrum, experienced four-year-old Ice Cool Kaedyn is chasing his seventh win on end.

We can also look forward to a sensational middle-distance event, with course specialist True Detective up against the greyhounds that filled the Quinella in last year’s Group 1 RSN Sandown Cup, Rajasthan and Ella Enchanted.

The first race kicks off at 6.32pm, and here’s what we can look forward to learning…

Q. Can the unbeaten ZIPPING SULLIVAN (Race 3, 7.12pm) make it 8 from 8?
Rob Camilleri’s greyhound has taken all before him so far, and tonight he’ll have to overcome Box 4 along with exciting litter brothers Catch The Thief and Playlist, along with the underrated Thistle Smoke.

Trainer Kate Gorman couldn’t be prouder of her veteran sprinter hitting career-best form after 81 starts and a fourth birthday, but he is up against three-time Group 1 runner-up Black Opium tonight.
