Last Saturday’s impressive Todman Stakes winner, Tentyris, will not be competing in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) at the end of this month.
Trainers Anthony and Sam Freedman, confirmed the colt had sustained an issue following his impressive Group 2 Todman Stakes victory.
“Tentyris was found to be lame after his impressive win in the Group 2 Todman Stakes at Randwick on Saturday. A thorough vet’s assessment has revealed an injury to his left hind leg,” the stable announced in a social media post.
“Unfortunately, this will put an end to his autumn campaign, and he will not take his place in the Group 1 Golden Slipper.
“This is very disappointing for the horse and his connections.
“He is a very exciting colt going forward and we look forward to having him back for the 2025 Spring Carnival.”
