NSW racing heads to Taree on Tuesday afternoon for a competitive seven-race program. The rail is out +3m the entire circuit for the meeting, and although the surface is currently listed as a Soft 5 at the time of writing, the forecast indicates an upgrade into the Good range is imminent. The first race is set to get underway at 12:30pm AEST.
Best Bet at Taree – Rapbidash
Rapbidash will be searching for back-to-back wins on Tuesday afternoon, and we think she’s got the ability to put her rivals aways again. She dismantled her opposition on debut at Muswellbrook on May 21 and couldn’t have been more impressive in doing so. She came from worse than mid-field, storming down the middle of the course to score a four-length victory. Provided she takes a step forward from that effort, you’d have to imagine this daughter of Supido has plenty of upside to be taking care of them again, this time in Class 1 company.

Next Best at Taree – Nay Pee Cee
Nay Pee Cee will be looking to make his debut a winning one in the opener. He’s only had one barrier trial for the Greygory McFarlane stable, and we really like what we’ve seen from this gelding by No Nay Never. He took a sit in the jump-out at Gosford over 800m and made his way to the line under a strong ride by Aaron Bullock, keeping him in touch with his rivals to finish second by a nose. It was a terrific learning experience prior to his debut and with a lovely barrier draw to aid him on his journey, we’re confident Nay Pee Cee can be very competitive on Tuesday afternoon.

Best Value at Taree – Zaz In Paris
The Kim Waugh-trained Zaz in Paris is set to make her return from a 171-day spell and despite the fact she hasn’t done much to date, we’re willing to take a chance on this three-year-old. She debuted on December 17 at Newcastle and and ran into some very talented maiden gallopers – including the eventual winner, Ausbred Rising Sun, who would go on to running in black type company throughout his preparation. Zaz In Paris finished well back into seventh position on that occasion 8.1 lengths away. Kim Waugh took the initiative and sent her to the paddock after that effort, and now returns with two barriers under her belt, gaining more perspective on the scope of this daughter of Puissance De Lune. We like the intent to kick-off her campaign over the 1412m on Tuesday and we’re expecting a much-improved galloper come the third race of the program.
