The Group 3 Quezette Stakes (1100m) has attracted a near-capacity field of 15 three-year-old fillies to Caulfield this Saturday.

Despite not being seen since finishing sixth in the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude (1100m) at Sandown, Charm Stone from the Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr barn has opened as a $3.70 favourite with online bookmakers for her first run as a three-year-old.

The one-time Blue Diamond Stakes favourite has warmed up with a comfortable victory in a 800m trial at Cranbourne on August 7 and will be hoping to add the Quezette Stakes to her win in the Group 3 Ottawa Stakes (1000m) during the 2022 Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Tony Gollan will unveil Skirt The Law for the first time this spring in what will be the filly’s first start going the Victorian way.

Having claimed the Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m), the daughter of Better Than Ready will have her first start since finishing midfield as a short-priced favourite in the Group 2 Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m).

She has drawn barrier one with Ryan Maloney on board.

With a $200,000 purse, the Quezette Stakes will open the quaddie on Caulfield’s 10-race program on Saturday afternoon.
