Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) winner Climbing Star is set for ambitious targets this spring.
Trainer Phillip Stokes aims for the rising five-year-old to secure a spot in The Everest (1200m).
“I think her form stands up and I think she’s come back better again,” Stokes told Racing.com.
The mare is expected to start her next campaign in the Group 1 Manikato Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on September 27.
Stokes also has ambitious plans for Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1100m) winner Stretan Angel, who will return for two races at Flemington.
“She’ll kick off in the Bobbie Lewis, go to the Gilgai,” Stokes said.
“We’ll get those two races over and done first and then see if we can stretch her out in distance.”
Climbing Star is rated a +7000 winning chance with horse racing bookmakers for The Everest.
