Just six runners will take their place in Saturday’s Group 2 Feehan Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley, despite a spot in the Cox Plate (2040m) being up for grabs to the winner.

Coming off a good win first-up in the P.B. Lawrence Stakes (1400m), Mr Brightside is the raging favourite with online bookmakers, while the talented Inspirational Girl and Earlswood will both kick off their campaigns.

While both Sound and Spanish Mission likely want another lap, the race sets up nicely for four-year-old entire Forgot You, who is yet to lose at Moonee Valley.

The Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young-trained son of Savabeel has won three races from as many starts at the track, including the Group 2 Stutt Stakes (1600m) and Group 2 Moonee Valley Vase (2040m) last spring when a three-year-old.

Forgot You trialled behind Passive Aggressive at Casterton on August 9 and was a recent jumpout winner over 1400m, laying the foundations for his carnival kickoff point.

“We trialled him over 1400m and he won – he had a really good hit out – we told Dan (Daniel Moor) to give him a good hit out and he did,” Young told Racing.com.

“Even though it’s not quite the same pressure of a race, having a trial, he took really good benefit from that.

“He had a little bit of light work on Saturday morning, pulled up really well and we’ll probably take him to The Valley again tomorrow.

“It’s not ideal going first-up into the Feehan – we wanted it to be second-up – but he looks a picture and hopefully it should be an ideal stepping stone for him.”

Forgot You is a $14 chance in the Feehan Stakes, while several betting sites have him rated a $101 hope in the Cox Plate.
