Best Bet at Scone – The Seven Seas
John Sargent and James Innes Jnr combine in the penultimate race of the afternoon with two-year-old filly, The Seven Seas. The daughter of Merchant Navy hasn’t done anything special in her three career starts, but she has been beaten five lengths or less in both the Inglis Nursery and $2M Inglis Millennium in her first two career starts, before flopping on a Heavy 9 at Canterbury in late February. She trialled well at Randwick at the end of June, and she comes right back in class to a country maiden on Monday, so a maiden victory looks imminent. From barrier four, this filly gets all of the favours.

Next Best at Scone – Piccinni
In the second leg of the quaddie, Lou Mary saddles up dominant last-start winner Piccinni. The three-year-old filly won her maiden at Tamworth by almost five lengths under Grant Buckley – who retains the ride on Monday – so we are hoping the connection works again. By Pierro, she seemingly relished the wet track at Tamworth, and while it won’t be as wet on Monday, the rain-affected surface will certainly suit. Buckley will send her forward from barrier 12, put her in the race early and be well and truly within striking distance to win again.

Race 5 – #7 Piccinni (12)
3yo Filly | T: Lou Mary | J: Grant Buckley (55.5kg)

Best Value at Scone – Party Stop
We tipped Party Stop as our value bet on Tuesday at Wyong and he ran a good third, some 10 lengths behind the tearaway leader, Regal Pom. Stephen Farley has opted to back him up on Monday in what looks a suitable race for the son of All Too Hard. He settled handy to the speed last week, but the leader was able to skip away and win by a space, but he held his own well enough to warrant backing again. Drawn barrier five, Aaron Bullock will be prominent on the three-year-old, who should be rock-hard fit. Back to country grade should suit.

Race 2 – #4 Party Stop (5)
