Racing will return to Eagle Farm this Saturday as the Brisbane Racing Club hosts a massive 10-race program. The track was rated a Soft 5 at the time of acceptances, but with more rain forecast for Friday and Saturday, it is expected that the surface will remain in the Soft range for the whole day. The rail will be in the +4.5m position for the entire circuit, with racing set to get underway at 11:33am AEST.
Best Bet at Eagle Farm: Flag Hall
Flag Hall returned from an 18-week spell with a dominant performance at Ipswich over 1100m, where the Lee Freedman-trained gelding led and kicked clear at the top of the home straight to run away with a 3.8-length victory. This son of Starspangledbanner has been given a tick-over trial between runs, which should ensure his race fitness is up to scratch after having four weeks off. After drawing barrier four, Boris Thornton should be able to push forward, find the rail, and receive the run of the race. With even luck in the final 300m, Flag Hall should prove too good once again.
Best Bet
Race 6 – #3 Flag Hall (4)

Next Best at Eagle Farm: Evocator
Barry Lockwood and Tahlia Fenlon will combine with Evocator for the second straight start as he seeks back-to-back wins to start this preparation. Last start, this five-year-old gelding was given a peach of a ride from Fenlon as she picked her way through the pack, and the galloper showed a blistering turn of foot to nab Differential in the final strides. This son of Divine Prophet has solid track (5:2-1-0) and second-up (4:2-0-1) records, and after such an impressive win, he looks like he is in for a big campaign this time in.
Next Best
Race 4 – #2 Evocator (2)
5yo Gelding | T: Barry Lockwood | J: Tahlia Fenlon (a3) (60kg)

Best Value at Eagle Farm: Brave Maso
After gaining a run as the third emergency, Brave Maso will be out to put her underwhelming seventh-place finish at this track over 1200m first-up behind her when she rises to a much more suitable distance of 1400m second-up. Although Cejay Graham won’t be using her 1.5kg claim, the light weight of 52kg will allow this daughter of Cable Bay to push forward and hold the rail. The Natalie McCall-trained mare has a good record on wet tracks (11:1-5-1), and if more rain does fall and the track is Heavy, she will play a prominent role in the finish.
Best Value
Race 5 – #19 Brave Maso (1)
5yo Mare | T: Natalie McCall | J: Cejay Graham (a1.5) (52kg)
