Racing heads to the Sale Turf Club this Tuesday afternoon as an eight-race program is set down for decision. The track was rated as a Soft 6 at the time of acceptances, and with rain forecast to fall on Tuesday, it is expected that the surface will remain in the Soft range for the meeting. The rail will be in the +7m position for the entire circuit, with the opening race scheduled to jump at 12:15pm AEST.
Best Bet at Sale: Name Dropper
Name Dropper saluted as a heavily backed favourite on his debut at Doomben in August last year, as the Bevan Laming-trained gelding led every step of the 1400m journey and won by 1.3 lengths. The son of Tavistock was sent for a spell straight after that debut win and has been given three jumpouts at Cranbourne to prepare for this fresh run, finishing second in his last two over 1200m and 1000m. With little to no speed in this contest, it is expected that Ethan Brown will attempt to replicate the debut run, and Name Dropper will prove too speedy for his rivals.

Next Best at Sale: Struck Gold
Returning for his third racing preparation, Struck Gold will be seeking to add a second win to his resume following a disappointing campaign last time out when the Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained gelding didn’t record a placing from two starts. With three solid jumpouts under his belt, this son of Castledale will be ready to go first-up, and kicking off the preparation in country grade should aid his chances. Ethan Brown will push forward from barrier seven, and if Struck Gold can let down with a strong finish, he will prove hard to beat.
Next Best

Best Value at Sale: Peace Baby
Peace Baby will have taken a lot of benefit and valuable experience from his debut run at this track and trip on May 29, when the Robbie Griffiths & Mathew de Kock-trained colt finished third after peaking on his run in the final 100m. The son of Exceedance settled outside the speed and appeared as though he was going to run away with the race but was overrun by the swoopers late. From barrier 11, Ethan Brown will push forward, and if Peace Baby gets a similar run in transit, his race experience should hold him in good stead.
