Rosehill Gardens is the destination for metropolitan racing this Wednesday, with seven races set down for decision. The rail is out +7m for the meeting, and although there are some scattered showers predicted late in the day, the surface should hold its Good 4 rating for most of the afternoon. The first race is scheduled for 2pm AEST.

State Of America ran into a wall of horses in his latest start at Canterbury on September 13 and is unfortunate not to be looking for three wins on the trot. He was penned in on the rail with nowhere to go on that occasion, and once the gaps did appear, Our Maryanne was already off with the prize. The son of American Pharoah will need clear running room this time; however, with the booking of gun jockey Zac Lloyd, expect State Of America to power home to score.

Nordic Pride is putting together a nice record this preparation for the Ben Brisbourne barn and almost picked up his third-straight win of the campaign at Rosehill on September 9. The Zoffany gelding got a perfect run in transit and just found one better in the form of Olympic Gaze. This seems to be a much more manageable task on paper, and with apprentice Jett Stanley giving Nordic Pride some welcome relief in the weights, Nordic Pride can go one better.

Sequestered will be resuming from a 143-day spell and has had two soft barrier trials heading into Wednesday. The James Cummings-trained mare was competitive in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) on April 1 at Randwick, but the campaign ended with a lacklustre performance in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m) on the Sunshine Coast. She seems to be in terrific order, and although she doesn’t have a great first-up record, Sequestered can run well here.
