Metropolitan racing will head to Royal Randwick on Wednesday, as the Kensington circuit is utilized for seven races throughout the afternoon. The radar suggests there could be some showers hitting the course leading into race day, so we’ll be keeping a watchful eye on a possible downgrade into the Soft range. The rail is in the true position as the opening race gets underway at 1:55pm AEDT.

It was hard not to be impressed with the debut of Schwarz at Gosford on October 5, as the son of Zoustar went on to score by 3.4 lengths. He made every post a winner, showing plenty of class to scoot clear of his rivals in maiden company. The stable has shown confidence to install him into BM72 grade second-up, and with a favourable pattern to be ridden on-speed by Tommy Berry, we’re confident Schwarz can make the leap into metro class to score back-to-back wins.

Next Best at Randwick-Kensington: Rhythm Of Love
Rhythm Of Love has had a terrific campaign for the John O’Shea barn and is unfortunate to only have one win across his three starts. He broke his maiden status at Kembla Grange on September 9 before suffering narrow defeats at Warwick Farm and Randwick (Kensington) respectively. His upside is clear to see as he chased home the in-form Body Bob on October 4, just missing out on a day where it was difficult to make ground. He draws (1) to find the leaders back on Wednesday, and with some luck getting off the rail Rhythm Of Love can chalk up his second-career win.

Keenan has performed admirably for the Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott so far with two minor placings to his name in as many starts. He was a non-factor at Wyong on debut as Dark Halo smashed his rivals; however, took massive improvement second-up at Warwick Farm challenging Need Some Luck all the way to the wire. He showed some toughness on that occasion, and now finds a race where he can cross to lead under his own steam for Tim Clark. Keenan will give a bold sight here for a stable that is simply flying.
