Metro racing returns to the Kensington circuit at Randwick this Wednesday afternoon, with a quickfire seven-part program set for decision. The rail is in its true position the entire way around, and with no significant rainfall predicted in the lead-up, punters can expect the Heavy 9 surface at the time of acceptances to improve for race-day. The opening event is scheduled to get underway at 12:50pm local time.
Best Bet: I Found You
I Found You debuts for the Peter & Paul Snowden barn on the back of two impressive barrier trials. The daughter of I Am Invincible hammered the line in her most recent work at Randwick on May 16, careering past Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) winner Broadsiding in the process. She gains the services of James McDonald, and provided he can lob on the back of the leading pair from stall two, I Found You must be considered the one to beat in the opener.

Next Best: Father’s Day
Father’s Day appears set to peak third-up into the campaign. The Bjorn Baker-trained gelding held ground impressively behind Golden Path at Randwick on May 25, giving a bold kick under Rachel King with the lightweight in BM88 company. Coming back to a BM78 means Father’s Day will need to lug 60.5kg on his back to victory, but with Chad Schofield likely to employ similar front-running tactics, this guy will prove hard to get by in the concluding stages.

Best Value: Grand Larceny
Nothing went right for Grand Larceny first-up at Sandown on May 8. The three-year-old was sent forward but quickly got cast wide without cover throughout the journey, leaving the Zoustar colt fading out of the contest a long way from home. His maiden victory at Newcastle on October 10 is a greater indicator of his potential upside, and with Zac Lloyd back in the saddle from the soft draw (2), Grand Larceny appears ready to get back to his brilliant best second-up.
Best Value
Race 5 – #10 Grand Larceny (2)
3yo Colt | T: Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes | J: Zac Lloyd (59kg)
