Metropolitan racing heads to the inside track at Randwick this Wednesday afternoon, as the Kensington circuit is set to host seven competitive races. The rail is out +5m the entire circuit, and with the track currently listed as a Soft 6, the drying forecast should mean we’re racing on a Good track. The first race is set to get underway at 1:25pm AEST.
Best Bet: Amor Victorious
Amor Victorious will be searching for back-to-back wins on Wednesday afternoon, and the Bjorn Baker-trained gelding is clearly the one to beat. His first win of the campaign came at Benchmark 78 level at Rosehill on August 5, stalking the leader throughout the 1500m contest before bolting clear of his rivals. The son of Caravaggio finds a similar setup this time, and despite being forced to carry an extra 6.5kg heading back in grade, Amor Victorious should prove too classy for this field.

Next Best: Boston Rocks
Boston Rocks has a new lease on his racing life since joining the Nathan Doyle barn and now looks primed to find his third-straight win of the preparation. He’s won by a combined 5.5 lengths and has been impressive in doing so, making every post a winner in both runs. He heads to town for the first time as a three-year-old, and with jockey Ashley Morgan set to make the trip alongside him, Boston Rocks will be very hard to chase down if he finds the front.

Best Value: Glacier Queen
Glacier Queen made her return from almost a year off the scene at Hawkesbury on August 8 and was by no means disgraced considering her time away from racing. She was set an impossible task from near-last when turning for home, utilising an inside run that fell her way; however, that gap closed up quickly and she had to settle for a moderate fourth-place finish. She’ll only improve with that effort under her belt, and with a more positive steer under Dyland Gibbons this time, we’re expecting a bold performance from Glacier Queen.
