Ciaron Mahers horse, Pride Of Jenni, is shaping up to be a contender in the Spring Carnival with good odds in several top races with the top Australian bookmakers.

The seven-year-old mare is the PlayUp favourite to win the King Charles III Stakes (1600m) at $3.50 and the Cox Plate (2040 m) at $4.50 odds on October 19 and 26.

Maher has confirmed that these races are the focus for Pride Of Jenni this season.

Pride Of Jenni is set to kick off her campaign at the $750,000 Memsie Stakes at Caulfield on August 31, where she currently stands as the $4.00 favourite at Neds.

Maher mentioned that Pride Of Jenni’s race schedule after the Cox Plate will depend on how she recovers from these races.

Since her win in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) at Randwick in April, Pride Of Jenni hasn’t raced.
