GRV are committed to providing support to enable participants to achieve positive effective and productive outcomes. With Code of Practice now business as usual for participants, the Support team are able to provide enhanced ongoing support on a wide variety of greyhound racing and welfare related matters, and in a way that fits with participants’ day to day routines and needs. To better reflect this enhancement, GRV’s existing Code hotline number of 1300 144 360 has been re-named the Participant Support Line.
Participants are encouraged to contact the Participant Support Line first when seeking general information, guidance, or assistance on topics such as:
- Personal Health and Wellbeing
- Current issues affecting greyhound racing such as COVID-19
- Current GRV call to action campaigns such as updating greyhound locations in FastTrack
- Greyhound Kennel or Facility Management & Construction
- General Greyhound Breeding, Whelping, Rearing, Education or Training Activities
- Planning & Council Permits
- Greyhound Retirement & Re-homing
- Racing rules and policies

The Participant Support Line team will endeavour to resolve enquiries promptly, however on occasions to ensure we provide a quality service, enquiries may take longer to address.

Greyhound Participant Support Program (GPS)
Participants in need of professional and confidential help with mental health issues, budgeting or debt management coaching, introductory legal advice or diet and nutrition advice for themselves or immediate family can call the independent Greyhound Participant Support Program on 1300 739 550. This program is free to participants and is provided by Assure Programs, who also offer 24 hr emergency psychological phone support. For more information, visit here.
