The rail will be in the +8m position for the entire circuit.
Best Bet at Pakenham: Bring Forth
Bring Forth returned from a 23-week spell at this track over 1400m on October 18, where the Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr-trained gelding ran on strongly from the back of the field to finish second. This son of Turn Me Loose had to pick his way through the field in the home straight and never really got into clear air until the final 100m. Rising in trip to 1600m and drawing a wide barrier second-up will be two positives for this galloper, and if Zac Spain can get him into clear air with 300m to go, he will break his maiden at the fourth time of asking.

Next Best at Pakenham: The Englishman
In what turned out to be his last start for Peter Snowden before changing trainers to John Leek Jnr, The Englishman competed in a Benchmark 78 Handicap at Caulfield, where he was far from disgraced in seventh place. This son of Tavistock was given a tick over jumpout in between runs, and he will appreciate a rise in trip to 2000m and drop in grade here. Jumping from barrier seven will allow Daniel Stackhouse to settle midfield off the fence, and if he can find a back to follow turning for home, The Englishman will prove very hard to hold out.
Next Best
Race 3 – #2 The Englishman (7)
5yo Gelding | T: John Leek Jnr | J: Daniel Stackhouse (61.5kg)

Best Value at Pakenham: Rose Of England
Rose Of England bolted in at this track and trip on a Heavy surface first-up for Charlotte Littlefield. The four-year-old mare settled behind the speed and took over at the 300m mark to run away with a massive 5.5-length victory. The daughter of Churchill had never raced over 1200m before her previous start, and after the dominant win, it is expected that she will enjoy racing over shorter distances this preparation. If Ben Allen can push forward to settle in the first six, Rose Of England’s turn of foot will give her every chance to figure in the finish at a good each-way price with horse racing bookmakers.
Best Value
Race 8 – #12 Rose Of England (10)
4yo Mare | T: Charlotte Littlefield | J: Ben Allen (57kg)
