Best Bet at Newcastle – So Dazzling
Our best bet of the day will come up in the lucky last, as we will be siding with the John Sargent-trained So Dazzling over 1880m. This lightly raced three-year-old filly has only had two starts for her career where she has finished fifth and first, with her only win coming at Flemington over 1800m in the Oaks Preview on September 18. After winning that race, this daughter of So You Think has punched her ticket into the VRC Oaks during the Victorian Spring Carnival. William Pike will take the ride on this girl today where she is dropping in grade from a Set Weights metropolitan race to a provincial Benchmark 64. If she gets any luck in running from barrier 15, she will be very, very hard to beat.
Best Bet
Race 8 – #13 So Dazzling (15)

Next Best at Newcastle – Floating
The Matthew Smith-trained Floating will be our next best bet in race six over 1300m. This four-year-old gelding really caught the eye with a very nice second behind Sir Kerm at this track over 1200m on a Heavy 9 on September 24. This son of Puissance De Lune will love the rain-affected track on Tuesday with the track rated a Heavy 9 and he will definitely relish the extra distance that he receives going up to the 1300m. Keagan Latham will stick with this guy where he will be go back from his wide draw, barrier 19. Look for him to flying home late and powering over the top of them in the concluding stages.
Next Best
Race 6 – #4 Floating (19)
4yo Gelding | T: Matthew Smith | J: Keagan Latham (59kg)

Best Value at Newcastle – Centre Bounce
Our best value bet comes up in the second race of the day where the Matthew Dunn-trained Centre Bounce will debut over 900m. This three-year-old filly has had plenty of trials to further her education, with the trials ranging from 796m to 1030m. Her last trial over 1030m at Rosehill on October 4 was her best trial by far, leading from start to finish. This daughter of Star Turn led easily in that trial, Reagan Bayliss gave her a squeeze and loosened the reigns and she lengthened nicely to win the trial by half a length. Bayliss jumps back on board again today, so hopefully from barrier two she should jump and lead and be very hard to get past.
Best Value
Race 2 – #1 Centre Bounce (2)
3yo Filly | T: Matthew Dunn | J: Regan Bayliss (57kg)
