An extremely competitive nine-race card awaits punters on Saturday afternoon at Morphettville for Finals Day. With rain forecast leading into the meeting, we expect to be on a Soft 6 at best, and with rain predicted on raceday, it would be no surprise if the track deteriorates further. The rail returns to the true position, with an action-packed day of racing scheduled to start at 12:17pm ACDT.
Best Bet at Morphettville: Queman
Queman has strung together two impressive wins to begin his campaign and now steps up to the 1200m. The five-year-old gelding managed to stalk the speed throughout over 1000m on November 11 before producing a strong finishing burst to put 2.5 lengths on his rivals. He draws in barrier eight on Saturday, and Justin Potter should have no issue landing the son of Mint Lane in a plumb spot once again. If Queman can replicate his last two efforts, he should be bringing up a third win in as many starts.

Next Best at Morphettville: All Beans
Justin Pickering’s All Beans has strung together three strong performances this campaign, including a win and a close second in his last two starts at Morphettville. He is on the quick backup from his runner-up effort behind La Defense over the 1050m last weekend, where he was simply unable to go with the eventual winner inside the final 100m. The son of Spill The Beans will look to gain the lead under Margaret Collett from barrier three, and with the apprentice claiming 3kg, All Beans will go around with just 53kg on his back and should prove too hard to gun down this time.

Best Value at Morphettville: Hasta La Fiorente
We were with the Sue Murphy-trained Hasta La Fiorente when he saluted over 2500m on November 18, and on the quick seven-day backup, we’re happy to side with him once again. He only just held on last weekend but was left exposed a long way out from home, so the win was much better than what it may read on paper. He draws barrier one here, so Domenic Tourneur can have the son of Fiorente stalking the speed throughout. We know he will see out the trip, with three wins to his name already at 2500m, and at a nice price, Hasta La Fiorente looks a great play.
