Mike Moroney is optimistic about fielding two contenders in the All-Star Mile (1600m) come March, as stablemates Pendragon and Run Harry Run are poised to participate in ‘win and you’re in’ races.
Pendragon, the recent Group 2 Auckland Guineas (1400m) victor, will test his mettle in the Karaka Millions 3YO (1600m) at Ellerslie this Saturday.
On the other hand, Run Harry Run, triumphant in the Group 3 Blue Sapphire Stakes (1400m) in November, is being targeted for the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on March 2.
Run Harry Run is set to have a jump-out at Flemington on Thursday, paving the way for his return in the Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) at the same track on February 17.
Moroney expressed his confidence in the horse, stating, “He was impressive winning at Caulfield. He’s a horse on the up,” as he shared with Racing.com.
Run Harry Run is marked as a +1400 chance for the Group 1 Australian Guineas in March with top horse racing bookmakers.
