The mare The Map, bound for the Group 1 Melbourne Cup (3200m), headlines a competitive set of nominations for Saturday’s Listed Leon Macdonald Stakes (1400m) at Morphettville.

Trained by Dan Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray, the six-year-old will make her first start since claiming victory in the Listed Andrew Ramsden Stakes (2800m) at Flemington in May, a race offering a ballot exemption for the Melbourne Cup.

Joining her in the nominations for this weekend’s race is See You In Heaven, poised for a shot at Melbourne Spring Carnival honours.

Also in contention are Group 1 winner Attrition, Nicolini Vito trained by Lindsay Park, Unusual Culture, He’s Our Bonneval, and Air Assault.
