NSW racing returns to Kembla Grange Racecourse on Wednesday afternoon, with a quickfire seven-part program lined up for the Illawarra region. The rail reverts to the true position the entire circuit for the meeting, and although the track is rated a Soft 5 at the time of acceptances, warm summer conditions should allow an upgrade into the Good range at some stage throughout the day. The four-year-old gelding has impressed since his arrival, clearing out to score comfortably in a recent barrier trial at Hawkesbury on January 20. Zac Wadick will lob into a handy position from stall three, and provided he can unleash his devastating turn-of-speed, punters can expect Eastern Front to figure in this Class 1 contest.

The Kerry Parker-trained Wild Thoughts has only been sighted once at the barrier trials heading into this first-up assignment, cruising through the wire at Warwick Farm on January 20. The son of So You Think couldn’t have been more impressive under Jay Ford, idling up to his rivals to get within a half-length of Too Many Kisses. Ford should slot into a mid-field position with cover, and although this guy lacks race-day fitness compared to some key opposition, Wild Thoughts should be right in this at a good price with BlondeBet.
