Jamie Kah is set to appear before the Victorian Racing Tribunal following charges by stewards stemming from her ride aboard Let’sfacethemusic on Memsie Stakes day at Caulfield.

The inquiry, initiated by stewards after the race day and continued at Sandown last Wednesday, concluded with Kah facing a charge under AR129(2).

According to the stewards’ report, Kah is accused of failing to provide Let’sfacethemusic with the best opportunity to achieve an optimal finishing position during the Group 3 McNeil Stakes (1100m).

Specifically, the report states that between the 175m and 100m marks, Kah allegedly did not ride her mount with sufficient vigour or intent to advance her position between Band of Brothers and Stay Focused, despite adequate space and opportunity.

Additionally, it is alleged that over the final 75m, Kah failed to sufficiently urge her mount when it was reasonable and permissible to do so.

The Victorian Racing Tribunal will schedule a hearing date for Kah to respond to these charges.
