Jamie Kah has been confirmed as the rider for The Map, trained by Dan Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray, in the upcoming Group 2 Adelaide Cup (3200m) at Morphettville on Monday week.
Kah previously partnered the five-year-old to a commanding victory in a Benchmark 96 (2800m) race on Melbourne Cup Day last year.
“She’s (Kah) obviously been in the mix to ride her since Flemington and her management confirmed her for the ride this week,” revealed Clarken to Racing.com.
“She’s (The Map) pulled up enormous. The plan was to always try and get the back of the McEvoy horse (Unusual Pearl), who had a big spruik on it, but she found herself a long way off them and a lot of horses in front of her.
“I thought her last 100 metres was solid and we always knew she was going to take a lot out of the second-up run.”
Kah, aiming for her second Adelaide Cup victory, previously triumphed in 2022 aboard Daqiansweet Junior.
