In a recent announcement on Twitter, Godolphin shared that In Secret, a talented mare by I Am Invincible who has achieved success in Group 1 races, has retired from racing due to an injury to her ligament.

The decision to retire her was made promptly after she received a suspensory ligament in her right fore, preventing her from continuing her current preparation for the upcoming spring carnival.

Purchased for $900,000 at the Magic Millions sale in 2021 from the Segenhoe draft In Secret excelled as a sprinter under the guidance of James Cummings.

Notable victories include the Group 1 VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes against colts and the Group 1 VRC Newmarket Handicap against sprinters.

She was seen as a $15 online bookmaker hope for Godolphin in this year’s Everest race after finishing fourth in the event last year.

Following In Secrets retirement, Godolphin will be on the lookout for a new sprinter to represent them at The Everest race on October 19.
