How to spend $20 on the SEN Track Warragul Cup Final

The Watchdog says “$2.80 is probably about the right price” for race favourite Hennessey (Box 2) in the $47,000 to-the-winner Group 2 SEN Track Warragul Cup final this Friday night.

“He was brilliant last week – 25.53sec and 6.40sec through the first marker. If he does everything right at box rise, he’s going to put himself into the race.

The form expert believes “there’s better value around”.

“You’ve got to look at dogs like Titan Blazer (Box 8), he’s my top pick. He keeps answering every challenge thrown at him.

“He won his heat from this draw – 25.58sec and went 6.57sec through the first marker. He can probably trim that up a little bit.

I think the $6.50 is tremendous value for him. He’s probably getting better and better.”

The Watchdog says Kinson Bale (Box 4) has the “class factor”.

“He was placed in the Group 1 Melbourne Cup. His (Warragul Cup) heat run, he was far from disgraced when running second.

“Box four is not ideal, but he does have terrific muster. He deserves to win a feature race.”

The form guru is also buoyant about $6 chance Robbie Rotten (Box 5), noting that “he’s been tremendous since moving to Victoria.”

The Watchdog’s $20 spend

$14 on Titan Blazer to win at $6.50
$6 on Ultimate Avenger to win at $21

Twenty

The Watchdog is less confident on the chances of Gypsy Bun (Box 3), albeit he says she’s “gone to another level in her last two”.

“She doesn’t have that real genuine mid-race pace. I think she’s going to find a little bit of trouble, so, I think the $5 is well and truly under the odds for her.”

The form analyst says Ultimate Avenger (Box 6) must be respected.

“He can ping the lids, and we know he can put time on the board. At $21, he looks a pretty handy bet.”

And The Watchdog says $9 hope Hamillson (Box 1) has “come up with a good draw”.

“But I’m just a bit worried about the pace outside. He might get pressured and if they get a half to three-quarters of a length in front of him, he might get buried back and find a bit of bother in running.”
