HorseBetting’s Victorian racing analyst has run his eye over the eight-race meeting at Hamilton to be run on Monday afternoon and has come up with his best bets and free quaddie numbers with odds from Australia’s leading online bookmakers. The track is rated a Good 4, with the rail out 3m from the 800m-400m then true the remainder, for the meeting commencing at 1:30pm AEDT.
Hamilton Best Bet – Enigma
Our best bet of the day comes up in the opening leg of the quaddie, with the race looking like it is a race in two. We have sided with the Mick Price & Michael Kent Jr-trained Enigma who managed to get the better of his main rival Mr Exclusive at Warrnambool on November 5. Enigma had a 2kg weight advantage over Mr Exclusive on that occasion and managed to nose him out on that day and with that run now under his belt, we expect he can replicate the result at Hamilton, but walk away with the winner’s cheque this time round. In the small field of six, tactics will be crucial and with his rival wanting to lead this field up, Declan Bates will look to settle outside the leader or in the one-one. No matter how he does, we expect the weight swing to be the difference here and with a slick turn of foot over 1109m, Enigma should prove too hard to hold out.
Next Best at Hamilton – Pristine Image
Symon Wilde send his five-year-old gelding Pristine Image back to Hamilton in a bid to bring up another win at a track he has a strong affiliation with. Both of the career wins for this son of Ilovethiscity have come at Hamilton, including one two starts back over the 1600m on October 19. Dean Yendall stick on board is a massive boost to his chances as well, as Yendall has been aboard for both victories and clearly knows what makes this guy tick. We are not too concerned in the drop back to the 1409m, because this BM58 is full of perennial non-winners. We expect Yendall to have Pristine Image settled with cover midfield and with a genuine tempo expected through, we expect to see him finish right over the top of his rivals here.
Best Value at Hamilton – Bajraktari
In the second leg of the quaddie, we are happy to side with the Jessie Constantine-trained Bajraktari who is coming off a tough runner up effort here at Hamilton. Having led the field up over the 1209m here, he ran into Hauteur who had form behind some smart types in her juvenile campaign. Their does not looked to be any runners with the class of Hauteur in this event and from barrier six, we expect to see Christine Puls have this son of Bianconi settled up on speed. With speed drawn underneath him, we expect to see Bajraktari settle on the outside of the leader and if he can replicate a similar effort from last time out, he is sure to run a cheeky race at a nice price.
