His latest barrier trial at Hawkesbury on January 20 suggests he’s returning in supreme order, and although he must lug 61kg first-up, Love The Cube can get the job done.

Louise Day has the option to lead this time from barrier one, and with Sweet Patriot running well on wet decks in the past, the testing conditions should be no issue in her quest to break her maiden status.

The John O’Shea & Tom Charlton-trained Maison Louis has shown steady improvement at the barrier trials heading into this debut assignment. His latest piece of work at Randwick on January 28 particularly caught the eye, with the unraced Super Seth gelding pushed out to get within four lengths of Stormbringer. Keagan Latham will look to slot in somewhere midfield with cover throughout the journey, and with an impressive turn-of-foot in the locker, watch for this guy to finish off well at the each-way price with horse racing bookmakers.
