Several Group 1 winners will line up in the $600,000 Surround Stakes at Randwick this Saturday, with 13 fillies accepted in total.
Godolphin and James Cummings will have their star filly In Secret ($2.15) hitting this three-year-old feature second-up after winning the Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes over 1200m last start, where she defeated most of her rivals that she will meet again on Saturday.
Chris Waller has entered two Group 1-winning fillies for the Surround Stakes, with Thousand Guineas winner Madame Pommery ($16) and Flight Stakes winner Zougotcha ($5.50) competing against one-another for the third time in their short careers.
Peter & Paul Snowden will have J.J. Atkins winner Sheeza Belter ($17) and Blue Diamond Stakes and Thousand Guineas runner-up Revolutionary Miss ($23) engaged in the 1400m event.
Rounding out the Group 1 stars is 2022 Golden Slipper winner Fireburn ($20), who didn’t finish in the placings in three starts during her spring campaign.
Of the rest, the Annabel Neasham-trained Sunshine In Paris ($9.50) and Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained Ruthless Dame ($14) look to the best chances, even though they will be running in their first-ever Group 1 races.
