The sprinters step out to scorch the turf in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield on Saturday afternoon, with a near capacity field of 17 set to line up in $750,000 handicap.

Estriella headlines the three-pronged attack from the Ciaron Maher barn and is the early $3.60 favourite with horse racing betting sites after drawing barrier nine.

The daughter of I Am Invincible is undefeated in two starts at Caulfield, and although she is unplaced in four starts at Group 1 level, the four-year-old possesses a formidable first-up record of three starts for two wins on her resume.

The Charlotte Littlefield-trained She’s Bulletbroof was a dominant winner of the Group 3 Geoffrey Bellmaine Stakes (1200m) at Sandown on February 1 and is being shown plenty of respect on the second line of betting at $6.50.

She will only need to carry 52kg to victory on Saturday as star hoop Craig Williams gets legged aboard from stall eight.

Punters can get double-figure odds about every other runner engaged on Saturday, with the likes of Espionage and Rey Magnerio priced at $10.00 apiece with BlondeBet.

Meanwhile, I Am Me ($12.00) will be forced to carry top weight with 57kg on her back, with Nash Rawiller making the trip to Melbourne to partner the classy six-year-old mare.

The chances don’t end there with plenty of value runners to be specked in betting, with Sghirripa ($11.00) and Arabian Summer ($14.00) likely to be suited by a hot tempo and no weight on their backs.

The 2025 Oakleigh Plate is the penultimate race on the Caulfield program and is scheduled to be run at 4:55pm local time.
