THE WATCHDOG’S $10 INVESTMENT
Saturday 14 May
$5 Place – RAPID REIKO
Must Watch Race
Mixed Grade 4/5
Warrnambool Race 6
Box 7 450m 6:22pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.60 Place
The Watchdog says : RAPID REIKO (7) is far better than her form indicates and is ideally drawn out wide. She can be a little hit or miss early but she has a terrific turn of foot and is capable of running time from off the pace, so with a clear passage through the middle stages, she can hit the scoreboard.
‘Must Watch Race’ Preview :
The in-form SHAKA BIG TONKS (6) is expected to continue his great run. He has always been a handy chaser; however, he has gone to another level recently with back-to-back sizzling wins at Ballarat in 25.17sec and 25.26sec. He likes to scout wide, and he has a great record from this draw, so with an even getaway, he can get the job done again. MY MATE TIP (5) is another who is in rare form, and he has the ability to lead or come from off the pace in his races. He should get cover from ‘Tonks’ early on and he will keep him honest throughout. RAPID REIKO (7) is better than her past few runs, while the much-improved JUNIOR MARJEN (3) is expected to apply plenty of pressure in the middle stages.

$5 Win – MUMBO ALARM
The Meadows Race 10 Box 1 525m 9:42pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.60 Win
Form https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666538576/race/10
The Watchdog says : MUMBO ALARM (1) continues to get better with every run, and he is drawn to get all the breaks tonight. There is very little pace drawn directly on his outside, so with a clean getaway, he should be able to hold the top at the bend and kick away off the back straight. With the ability to go 30 flat or a tad quicker, they will have their work cut out trying to reel him in.
