The Watchdog says : Group 2 Geelong Gold Cup finalist STORM STROLLER (5) might have enough pace to cross and lead and he should bring JUNGLE PANTHER (6) across in the early stages, so one of those runners should get the cash. We have gone wide for second in the hope of securing some value as it is a very even race.
‘Must Watch Race’ Preview :
JUNGLE PANTHER (6) has gone to another level in recent months, and he appears suitably drawn out wide. He carved out back-to-back wins at Horsham in April/May and he followed those runs up with a breathtaking 25.52sec Warragul win. This is his toughest test to date, but a clear run early should see him figure prominently. QUICK SMART (2) comes into this having won three-of-four in brilliant style at Sandown Park, however he is dropping back from 515m, and there is an abundance of early speed engaged. ZARA’S IVAN (1) has the class edge over his rivals and a clean getaway can see him hold a handy spot early. Group 2 finalist FEARLESS RORY (4) won here recently in a scorching 25.54sec. The draw is a slight concern, but he does possess a wonderful turn of foot.
