The Watchdog is tipping G3 finalist Dusty Lyn to secure back-to-back victories in a Grade 5 525m heat at The Meadows this afternoon.
The exciting Brad Mayo and recent Sandown Park 29.51 winner Weblec Flare highlight their respective races, while Trojan Package v G3 finalist So Predictable and Xinmin Bale v Runway winner Good To Go are both top duels.
Geo (top-three in eight of his 11 starts) and One’s Opinion (five wins from nine races) clash at Sale this evening, while Smokin’ Zag v Three Wishes v G2 finalist Got The Torque v the in-form Rasputin should be an exciting contest.
Sinful Angel v Loretta Bale v Viking Rebel v G3 winner Zambora Lou v Thybulle Bale v Sydney Monelli is one of the intriguing encounters in the other night meeting at Ballarat.

The Watchdog says : SALAD DODGER (1) is a serious up-and-comer and he is drawn to make every post a winner. WEBLEC FLARE (2) is a powerful type, and he will be suited by the smaller line-up, so an ounce of luck early should see him finish in the top two. FLOSSIE ANN (7) is ideally drawn out wide and she looks very well graded.

The Watchdog says : COACH FAGAN (8) will appreciate the drop in class, and he likes to stay wide in his races. He possesses good early burn, and he should be leading throughout. OBOYA BALE (1) has been costly to date, but she has the inside draw tonight and a clean getaway should see her make every post a winner.

Must Watch Race
Grade 5
Sale Race 10
440m 9:55pm
The Watchdog says : GEO (2) is a serious prospect with three wins and five minor placings from 11 starts, and he should prove too strong in the run home. MAYFAIR’S DREAM (7) and ONE’S OPINION (8) – victorious in five of his nine races – should both be prominent throughout and one of them can fill second spot.
‘Must Watch Race’ Preview :
GEO (2) hasn’t won in his past four runs; however, he has been far from disgraced in defeat and he appears to be a serious up-and-comer. He carved out a slick 24.98sec when winning here in early May and he has improved a lot since then, so with a clear run tonight, I think he can get down to the 24.75sec mark. ONE’S OPINION (8) showed plenty of potential in his first preparation and since resuming from a spell he has won three-of-four in impressive fashion. All four runs this preparation have been from wide draws, so with a clean getaway, he should get every chance to put himself into contention. MAYFAIR’S DREAM (7) rounds out the serious winning chances. She owns a smart 24.94sec PB here and she can cause a minor upset with her terrific early speed.
