Daily Mail: Isolating to clear rivals at Healesville

Isolating (8 from 15) is one of the most promising greyhounds in Victoria and The Watchdog believes he will notch his third win from his last four starts in a Grade 5 350m heat at Healesville.

Another chaser with potential, Baby Talk (9 from 17 – 3 of last 4), and the experienced Throw Caution are considered the biggest threats to Isolating.

Blind Electra (2 from 2 Trk/Dst) v Indian Calling v Irish Hope (2 from 2 Trk/Dst) v St. Marys Panda and Gypsy Play v G3 finalist Paint Peeler (4 from 9 Trk/Dst) v Clever Trevor v Uncle Drew should be tight battles.

Gung Ho Hunter (2 from 4 Box 4) v Just Rambling (11 from 29) v More Speed v Blackjack Cougar is another tough race to predict, while The Watchdog is confident that Boes Bounty and Princess Milne (2 of last 3 – 3 from 5 Box 1) will both prevail.

At Horsham, Braemar Prince (17 from 36) is eyeing his sixth-straight win, while Zigzag Cabang (4 from 7) is aiming to extend his winning streak to four races.

Robin’s Choice (2 of last 3), Waldemar Bale and Crackerjack Zave (4 from 11 Trk/Dst – 22.82sec PB) highlight the 410m Free For All, while G3 finalists Aston Ulysses (2 of last 4 – 3 from 4 Box 2) and Highly Explosive (8 from 22) face Spring Cobra and exciting prospect Six Speed Manual (4 from 7).

Cashton Bale (2 from 3 Trk/Dst) and Magic Marjen are both expected to triumph as well.

The Watchdog fancies Slingshot Mia and Aston Jive to both secure their first wins at Geelong tonight, while Quarter Bale is looking to record consecutive Geelong 460m wins.

ISOLATING 🆚BABY TALK 🆚THROW CAUTION

📍Healesville 🏁 Race 8 📏 350m ⏱ 1:12pm

Form 👉 https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539087/race/8

The Watchdog says
🎤: Great line-up and ISOLATING (2) is expected to start favourite. He comes into this having won eight-from-15 (53 percent) and his past four victories have been in town. He is dropping back to 350m today, however, he has always shown terrific early speed in his races, and he did win here previously in a slick 19.43sec early in his career. He is probably three to four lengths faster at this stage of his career, so with a clear passage today, I am expecting him to push the 19.10sec mark. BABY TALK (3) returned to the track here last Tuesday after almost six months off and she appears to have matured a lot in that time. She came out running and was never in doubt when carving out a scorching 16.50sec. She steps up to the 350m journey today and she has raced well at this distance range previously, so she should have no trouble with the extra 50m today. She takes on an elite one today and to have any chance she may have to cross and lead ISOLATING, and even then, he may be too strong for her in the closing stages. THROW CAUTION (4) is racing a tad below his best, but he is more than capable on his day. He will need the favourites to find bother for him to score, however he does look the obvious choice for third spot. Early speed is his biggest asset, and he has won here previously in a speedy 19.37sec, so he should be thereabouts throughout.

The Watchdog says
🎤 : TOM FOR SHAW (3) has turned in some brilliant performances of late and he will appreciate the drop in class today. PRINCESS MILNE (1) is racing with confidence, and she will get plenty of cover in the initial stages of the race. With a slick 16.79sec PB here, a top two finish looks on the cards. TYPHOON BOLT (1) will appreciate the big drop in class and from the good draw there should be no excuses today.

Multi price:
$3.04

💰 $4 Win – BABY TALK
📍 Healesville 🏁 Race 8 🔲 Box 3 📏 350m ⏱ 1:12pm     👀Must Watch Race 👀
TAB fixed odds: $3 Win
Form 👉https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539087/race/8

The Watchdog says
🎤 : I had ISOLATING (2) on top in my tips, and I think he is going to be hard to beat. However, from a punting point of view, BABY TALK (3) is well over the odds at $3. She lit up the clock here last week over 300m and a similar performance today will see her lead them up and she can handle the extra 50m. The favourite is a powerful type, but he cannot afford to find too much trouble in the run. So, at the $3, BABY TALK (3) looks to be a good investment.

💰 $1 Win – CLEAN SLATE     🍀Lucky Longshot 🍀
📍 Horsham 🏁 Race 5 🔲 Box 4 📏 485m ⏱ 5:14pm
TAB fixed odds: $6
Form 👉https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539089/race/5

The Watchdog says
🎤 : She turned in a great performance here three runs back and she finds herself in a race which does not feature a lot of early pace. With a clean getaway, she can assume control soon after box rise, and she may turn for home with a race winning break.
