Premier Racing at The Meadows tonight features G1 Australian Cup finalist Immunity returning from the Country Classic Final at Dubbo and lining up against the consistent Daph’s Zac and Pink Diamond finalist Gypsy Yankee in a Mixed 3/4 525m race.
G3 Launching Pad finalist Hadouken and Collinda Lady – litter sister to G3 winner Collinda Patty – stand out in their respective races.
G1 Silver Chief placegetter Titan Blazer is back from visits to Cannington and Mount Gambier and headlines a Mixed 4/5 520m race at Geelong this evening, but G2 Launceston Cup placegetter King Of Calypso cannot be discounted.
Aston Ziebell v G1 Harrison-Dawson placegetter Carry On Angel v On The Bit should be a strong Mixed 4/5 460m event, while G1 Melbourne Cup finalist Jepara faces the promising Jerwood Bale in a Mixed 4/5 400m race.

Saturday 9 April
$2 Place – WESTAR AILEEN
Must Watch Race
Mixed Grade 4/5
Geelong Race 4
Box 5 520m 6:25pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.70 Place (Top two finish required)
The Watchdog says : WESTAR AILEEN (5) runs into a few good ones including Group 1 Silver Chief placegetter TITAN BLAZER (8), but she has the speed to cross and lead at the bend and I’m expecting her to be in the top two for most of the journey.
‘Must Watch Race’ Preview :
TITAN BLAZER (8) has a great record from this draw and he is expected to return to the winners list tonight. He should be able to balance up quickly and assume control as they head through the first turn. With a clear run early, he could give the 520m track record (29.52sec) a nudge. KING OF CALYPSO (4) should be primed for a bold showing fresh. He enjoyed a tremendous run of form through December and January with six straight metropolitan wins before finishing an unlucky third in the Group 2 Launceston Cup Final. He is very strong in the run home and if he is within three lengths as they corner for home, he could make things very interesting. WESTAR AILEEN (5) is far better than her form indicates.

The Watchdog says : FABRIOLA ZERO (1) has the good draw and is dropping in class tonight. With a clean getaway and some luck at the bend, a top-two finish looks likely. DAPH’S ZAC (1) is as honest as they come and he will scrape the paint throughout, so with a clear run in the first 50 metres, he should hit the scoreboard. HADOUKEN (2) really impressed at Ballarat last time and that was clearly his best run for quite a while. He should have enough pace to clear KAHEEM BALE (1) and he has proven to be very hard to get past when in the clear.

TAB fixed odds: $3.10 Win
Form https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666542957/race/12
The Watchdog says : KRAKEN SKYE (6) can run the hands off the clock when in the clear and she looks very well graded tonight. The empty draw on her inside is a big advantage, so if she can do everything right initially, she will get every chance to figure in the finish.
Multi price: $9.06
$3 Win – GRUMPY GRANGE
Geelong Race 9 Box 7 400m 8:08pm
TAB fixed odds: $4.20 Win
Form https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666543023/race/9
The Watchdog says : He has turned in some great performances to date and he looks ideally drawn out wide. His box manners aren’t great, but he has a tremendous turn of foot and likes to stay wide, so with a little room to move initially, he should make a big impact.
