James Cummings continued his domination of Melbourne two-year-old races this season when first starter Arcaded took out the 2YO fillies handicap at Caulfield.
It gave the Godolphin trainer his fifth individual two-year-old winner in Melbourne this season.
His other winners have been Picarones, Paulele, Ingratiating and Anamoe.
Arcaded firmed from $101 into $26 for the Blue Diamond Stakes with TAB fixed odds.
The debutante was given a perfect ride by Damian Lane who placed her in third spot and then eased her out at the top of the straight and she proved too good for her rivals.
Lane was impressed with Arcaded and suggested she should run in the Blue Diamond Preview on January 26 at Caulfield to get a better gauge of where she sat.
Cummings Melbourne foreman Sean Keogh said it super run and a great ride by Lane.
“She had a couple of trials in September and James and Reg Fleming decided she was a bit weak and needed time out,” Keogh said.
Keogh said the Street Boss filly would progress to the better two-year-old races.
Arcaded ($7.50) sprinted away to win the 1100 metres race by 3 1/4 lengths over Lady Audrey ($5) with another James Cummings trained galloper Alriyah ($13) third.
