Racing returns to Cranbourne for yet another Friday night meeting, and with a bit of luck we can steer you into a few winners on the eight-race program. With perfect mid-autumn weather forecast leading into the weekend, we are set to be running on a Good 4 for the duration. The rail comes out 9m the entire circuit, which should favour on-pace runners. Racing is set to get underway at 5:45pm AEST.
Best Bet at Cranbourne: Let’sbefrankbaby
The Robbie Griffiths & Mathew de Kock-trained Let’sbefrankbaby went around as a well-supported second favourite in the Group 3 Auraria Stakes and ran as expected when finishing third, beaten just over a length. The three-year-old filly was a smart maiden winner over 1600m at Cranbourne the start prior and looks set to appreciate a return to her home deck and a drop back to BM70 company. She draws to gain a perfect run in transit in the one-one under Jamie Mott, and if Let’sbefrankbaby brings what she is capable of, she should simply be winning at the 2080m in the penultimate race of the night.

Next Best at Cranbourne: Clinqstar
In the opener, the Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained Clinqstar will be looking to build on her recent efforts. The three-year-old filly has finished second and third in her first two starts at the races, and she looks to have struck a winnable one here. She was only gunned down late after leading the field up at Mornington last time out, and on a track which should favour those on speed, it shapes perfectly for Ben Allen to have the Tosen Stardom filly bounding along out in front. If she can gain a relatively uncontested led, Clinqstar should have too much in hand for this lot.

Best Value at Cranbourne: Figo The Great
It was an encouraging run from Jason Warren’s Figo The Great at Geelong last time out, and we think he can go on with the job on Friday night. The four-year-old gelding is as honest a stayer you could hope for, and despite this being his first start at 2600m, we’re happy to side with him. He will roll forward from barrier 11 under Beau Mertens in this BM64 race, and considering he relishes firmer going, we have no doubt Figo The Great will have his rivals chasing at one point or another. If he can see out the trip, he looks a great each-way bet with online bookmakers.
