It’s time for the generous greyhound community to throw their collective arms around the Cassar family as they commence the long road to recovery from a fire at their Creswick property.
Stefano and Pasqalia Cassar are members of the Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club and along with their children, are regulars at Ballarat racing and trial sessions.
They are also much-loved members of the strong Maltese community in Ballarat.
As a result of the fire, Pasqalia is in the Royal Melbourne Hospital with burns, meaning Stefano is commuting between his young family and his wife and is therefore unable to work. Pasqalia’s mother is being flown out from Malta to help care for the children.
Stefano has already commented to Ballarat GRC that the support and well wishes he has received since the fire have been overwhelming and he and his family are extremely grateful for any funds which can be raised to support them during this difficult time.
All monies raised will assist the family to meet the medical and travel costs and hopefully, in time, return to their great love and passion, racing greyhounds.
