Canterbury Park Racecourse is the destination for NSW racing on Wednesday afternoon. It’s a quickfire seven-race program for punters to sink their teeth into, and with outstanding conditions on the cards, we should be racing on a perfect Good 4 surface. The rail is out +3m the entire circuit, while the first race is set to get underway at 12:50pm AEST.
Best Bet at Canterbury: There There
There There has had four starts for as many minor placings for the Ciaron Maher & David Eustace training partnership, and now looks perfectly placed to crack her maiden status. They decided to kick-off her campaign trialing in Sydney before electing to resuming from a 206-day spell at Randwick (Kensington) on July 5. She got every conceivable chance once peeling off the leader’s back; however, ran into a smart one in the form of Pereille. There There should only improve with the run and with a similar speed map, this daughter of I Am Invincible should finally go one better at Canterbury.

Next Best at Canterbury: Memoria
Memoria continues to thrive heading into her seventh start of the preparation and gets a terrific opportunity to chalk up career win number three. This three-year-old filly has been unfortunate not to find the winner’s enclosure in her latest two starts, finishing less than a length away from victory since coming back from Queensland. Benjamin Osmond takes the reins to utilize his 3kg claim, seeing Memoria well-weighted for BM64 company against the girls. Whether they elect to lead or take a sit in behind the leaders, Memoria looks very hard to hold out.

Best Value at Canterbury: Mural Crown
We’re taking on the short-priced favorite in the opening race as Mural Crown is set to make his debut for Godolphin and trainer James Cummings. We’ve been impressed with his barrier trials leading into race-day – particularly his latest effort at Wyong on July 10 when going on to score by 0.2 lengths. He was barely asked to extend under Zac Lloyd on that occasion and showed some likeable traits despite racing greenly. We’re getting a cracking price with online bookmakers to back Mural Crown each-way, and with Les Vampires (1) drawn directly to our inside, we should get a perfect chance to stalk the favorite every step of the way.
