Brute is ‘Pink of perfection’

Cape Clear breeder-owner-trainer Gary Peach won $86,250 in a flying 21.71sec at Ballarat tonight – less than two lengths outside the 21.60sec track record, set by Bareki on December 12, 2020.

That’s $3972.80 per second – eat your heart out Elon Musk, Jeff Bezoz & Co.

His ‘money machine’ was Silver Brute, which took out the $126,500 Pink Diamond Short Course final (390m) during Australia’s richest regional event.

Silver Brute – a member of an amazing provincial-performed litter – was ‘backed for a stack’ to win the $75,000 to-the-winner final. And an $11,250 breeders’ bonus also went Peach’s way!

In fact, Silver Brute was ‘hammered’ from $8 into $2.80 on TAB fixed odds.

“Oh, he’s sensational, I’m blessed,” Peach said. “I bred this litter, and I loved them as pups, and I kept them all.

“The whole litter has a lot of pace, but he was very slow breaking-in at Geelong.

“He had a few issues, tonsils etc, but since then he hasn’t looked back.”

Silver Brute (Dec ’19 Aston Dee Bee x Weeping Lass) remains undefeated in four starts over 390m at Ballarat. His race record reads 13 wins from 21 starts and his stakes catapulted to $119,230.

He put the writing on the wall defeating last night’s G2 Flying Amy Classic winner, Photo Man, in the Healesville Derby.

Silver Brute also won the Warrnambool Summer Sizzle in early January.

His littermates include Launching Pad Consolation finalist Mobile Legend (8 from 22), Action Girl (12 from 16), Struck Gold (12 from 17) and Sagrantino (7 from 16).
