Ozzmosis, the victor of the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m), is poised to test his prowess beyond his age group as he seeks additional Group 1 success.
Trained by Bjorn Baker, the colt is set to remain in Sydney for the autumn, targeting two prestigious elite-level sprints, one as a handicap and the other at weight-for-age.
“We are going to The Galaxy then the TJ Smith Stakes. There is nowhere to hide now. He is going great.
“He has definitely gotten bigger and stronger.
“Even with the ten days we were away at the Magic Millions, I’ve noticed how much he has come on, he’s thriving.”
In addition to Ozzmosis, another high-caliber performer from Baker’s stable, Group 1 Tancred Stakes (2400m) winner Arapaho, has returned to training.
Arapaho took part in a trial on Monday at Randwick after being sidelined for the majority of the spring due to a virus.
Despite finishing tenth in the 7 Stakes (1600m) during the spring, Baker expressed satisfaction with the stayer’s progress.
“He’s great, I couldn’t be happier with him. He’s definitely bigger and stronger after having a soft spring. He will be aimed at the Tancred Stakes.”
Ozzmosis is marked as a +1400 chance to win the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m), whilst Arapaho is listed as a +2500 winning hope for the Tancred Stakes with top horse racing bookmakers.
